Listed below are the certifications that you either hold or are completing.  Click on the arrow to see your progress or submit items.

Completing your certification application or portfolio:
1. New applications submitted online complete the application in the appropriate section below.
2. Application submitted by mail needing to submit a First Aid/CPR card or the Equine Management Check, those forms can be submitted electronically in the appropriate section below.
3. Complete application sent by mail, no action is required at this time.
Certification

Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning

Designation: ESMHL
A PATH Intl. Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning (ESMHL) ensures the safety and well-being of the equine participating in equine-facilitated mental health and learning sessions. She/he serves as the equine expert during equine/human interactions. The ESMHL works with mental health or education providers delivering services, incorporating equines in their practice, within the scope of their profession. An ESMHL must be knowledgeable in horsemanship and understands how to collaborate with a mental health therapist and/or educator to best meet the client’s needs and keep the lesson safe. ESMHL's also have a general knowledge of mental health and education processes.

Registered Therapeutic Riding Instructor

Designation: RTRI
A PATH Intl. Registered Therapeutic Riding Instructor (TRI) must possess the knowledge, skills and abilities to effectively and safely teach riding skills to individuals with disabilities.

PATH Intl. will review all materials submitted and will mark requirement complete.  With new applications, candidates will receive an email from PATH Intl. that their application is approved and will contain user name and password to log into the online courses.  These features are managed by PATH Intl. staff and will not be automatically marked complete by the system.  Courses will be also not be available immediately.
